Guess it has been a little while since I blogged. I believe in my last blog I wrote that winter was getting me down. It still is. We had more snow today. Enough is enough. Can't wait to see a daffodil poking its pretty yellow flower out of the ground.
I said in my first blog that I have a little 4 legged friend. I haven't said much about her and shame on me. Her name is Daisy, a shih tzu, and she is somewhere between 5-6 years old. I got her when she was about 4 and I have had her almost a year and a half. I have not had a dog in many, many years. We have had cats for probably 25 years. Don't know why but one day I decided I wanted a dog. A friend gave her to me and I can't thank her enough. So now I have a dog and a little dog at that. We never had a small dog before. But she has been the biggest blessing to us old folks. She is such a good, well behaved dog. My husband likes to say that we are attached at the hip. I can think of worse things. Anyway, here is a picture of her now.
This will be her before shot. She will be going to the beauty shop on Friday. I don't usually let her hair grow so long but for winter here in Western Pennsylvania it is necessary. I'm not sure how short her hair will be when she comes home. Either way, we will love her, even if she was bald.
Check back on Friday and I will post an after picture.
Happy Valentines Day out there to all my blog friends.
Pepperberry Primitives
Pepperberry Primitives deals with handmade reproduction shelves, cupboard, etc. We also do repurposed items. I love to find vintage items at yard sales, antique stores or thrift stores to make them into a unique primitive item.

I think Punxsutawney Phil got up on the wrong side of the cage. Here in Western Pennsylvania it has snowed almost continually since he declared that winter was over. If I wasn't ready to head south a few weeks ago I sure am now. Why is it that we like to see snow for Christmas. But as soon as Christmas is over, I wouldn't care if we didn't see anymore until next Christmas.
This is when retirement certainly has its benefits. It is nice to hear the weather forecast that predicts more snow and know that it really doesn't matter. We don't have to worry about getting to work tomorrow morning. I know hubby is enjoying his retirement. Since we really have not had nice weather since his retirement, he has had a lot of time to read. He used to read maybe one book a year. He has been home for 6 weeks and is on book number 5. Guess it keeps him out of trouble.
Hope all my blogger friends stay warm and safe.

Winter in Western Pennsylvania. What can I say about it. It is getting very depressing. I have always said that I am solar powered and right now I am out of energy. Most people would be glad to stay home and craft but I guess I am not most people. I am out of ideas of things to make. Even Her Highness, Miss Daisy, doesn't want to do anything.
Sure hope all my new blogger friends are having a good day.

Burr. Let's move to Florida
Winter can end any time now. As I get older, winter seems to get longer. I believe it is supposed to get warmer by next week.
I had plans today to work on a new project. However, I have been having trouble with sciatica pain. So I guess it will have to wait for a while. When I get it done I will post a picture.
It has been so nice to hear from all you wonderful bloggers. It helps make these cold, miserable days a little more bearable.
Does anyone have any ideas about making more sales on Etsy? I don't do any seasonal products which might help.

Good morning my fellow bloggers.
Woke up to a nice sunny day here in Western Pennsylvania. That doesn't happen very often here in the winter. It is supposed to go close to 50 today and then the bottom drops out.
I worked hard yesterday so I will post a picture of the few new things that I got finished. They will be going on to Etsy some time this morning. But first I must go out and enjoy the sunshine.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Another dismal looking day in Western Pennsylvania. But for January it is pretty warm and dry. I spent some time this morning working on a few new craft items. As soon as I get them finished I will try to post a picture.
This has certainly been an interesting journey, setting up the blog. I have to thank Denise Bailey from the Krazy Kraft Lady. She has been a tremendous help with my blog. I sure hope I will someday learn as much about it as she has. Sometimes it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
This last month has certainly been interesting. My husband retired on Dec. 19th. It didn't start off too well. Christmas day I got a horrible cold. New Year's day hubby got the same cold. So our first 2 weeks were not the best. However, we seem to be doing better and adjusting to retirement. It is a very differnt lifestyle.
I hope to be able to post some pictures soon, as soon as I figure out how to do that.
This is the wonderful grandchildren.
And this is our very special baby, Miss Daisy.

HELLO FROM PEPPERBERRY PRIMITIVES
Hello to my fellow primitive bloggers. This is my first blog. Please bear with me as I figure out blogging. My husband and I are getting back to crafting/building furniture after being away from it for many years. We made crafts probably 15 years ago and sold at local craft malls. We left the business for various reasons. But he is now retired and we thought this would be a good way to keep him busy and we love primitive decor. (really I thought it would be a good way to keep him in the basement. Don't tell him that.) We will be doing repurposed primitive decor and he will be building new shelves, cupboards, etc. I used to like making dolls etc., but I am no longer able to do that type of craft due to arthritis in my hands.
We live in Western Pennsylvania, south of Pittsburgh. Primitive decor is not too popular in our area. We do live about 2 hours from Holmes County, Ohio. There is lots of prim decor there. This is one of our favorite places to visit. Lots of good shopping and Amish restaurants. If you need a good recommendation, just let me know. I have tried just about all of them.
I guess I should tell you a little about myself. I am a wife (48 years) a mother of two two-legged daughters and one four-legged baby. I am also the grandmother of 4. All my grandchildren come in pairs. I have a set of identical girl twins and a set of identical boy twins (all to the same mommy). They are all grown up now.
I hope the blog will give me a chance to meet many new friends that share the love of prim decor.
